We take you on a journey into the life of a trapper. Join us on this canoeing adventure in the heart of the Swedish forests and lakes. During one week you will travel through Götaland and learn to live and survive in the wilderness with your two French speaking instructors Olivier and Eric. Make a fire, fish for food, build a shelter, sleep in a bivouac, while paddling between the 200 islands of this region of large lakes.

We settle in quietly at our accommodation and enjoy a meal in a local restaurant before setting off on our adventure on the Swedish lakes. This is an opportunity to get to know each other better, to review the programme and everyone's expectations, and to take part in a first survival workshop.
Tonight we will sleep in the last point of civilisation before diving into the wilderness.

What is a survival course?
It is a "Training to learn to Prevent and Manage risks in an isolated environment, after an accident or a disaster, alone or with others, in order to stay alive to wait for help, or to join them".

Our canoe, a canister to put our things in, some wood for a fire and our food. After a first safety briefing for this week, we get into the water. Here we go, we leave civilisation for 6 days of pure disconnection.
From Immeln we paddle towards Brotorpet, after only one hour of canoeing civilisation will seem far away. After a morning of canoeing we will start looking for a place to camp.
This afternoon we will have a first survival workshop on protection: (building shelters, hypothermia, hyperthermia,...)
What to expect
PROTECTION
One of the main pillars of this survival course will be learning how to protect ourselves from heat and cold: from building shelters to lighting fires to managing humidity. We will learn how to protect our bodies from hypothermia and hyperthermia.
4 to 5 hours of canoeing

We start the day by canoe to Filkesjon.
We will then have to cross short stretches by pulling our canoes with the help of wheels.
We enjoy our walk through the forest to admire the beauty of nature.
At the end of the afternoon, once the bivouac is set up, we try our luck at fishing. Our survival instructors, Olivier and Eric, take the opportunity to show us how to prepare and cook a fish in the wilderness.

large stretches of water give way to narrow canals where every turn adds unpredictability to your journey.
As the canoe glides gently through the water, you can admire the incredible scenery along the way; a mosaic of deep green forests, and remote islands.
In the afternoon, we set up camp and learn how to find our way in the wilderness. Orientation will no longer hold any secrets for you.

Finding and drinking water is essential. Where to find water and how to purify it.
4 to 5 hours of canoeing

On this fifth day we descend to Lake Immeln.
On the way, we will again discover large bodies of water bordered by forest.
At the end of the day at the camp we will see how to get food and water when we are in the wilderness
We will try again to fish from our bivouac.

ORIENTATION
Navigate, read a map, make an azimuth with a compass, read the relief and estimate distances. Learn to find your way and navigate with few tools
6 to 7 hours of canoeing
Accommodation: camping | Meals included: morning, lunch
Today is already the last day of our canoe survival trip.
Last day to enjoy the wilderness, the endless forests and the great expanses of water
We sail to our camp in Immeln.
In the evening we enjoy a well-deserved meal together before going to sleep in Immeln camp.
DAY 7
After a good night's sleep, we will say goodbye to our guides. Finally a shuttle bus will take us back to Malmö, which will mark the end of the expedition.
What to expect
THE NUTS
We will see together some knots which are very effective because of their various uses such as the brelage, 8 knot, fisherman's knot and prussik. We will also see how to set up a haul to pull a heavy load (example = hoisting a loaded canoe on an inclined plane)
Olivier and Eric will be the two survival instructors who will accompany you throughout your stay. One is a former commander in the Belgian army and the other is a passionate biologist who was formerly responsible for the protection of a national park in the heart of one of the wildest and most isolated forests in Africa. This remarkable duo will teach you how to survive in the wild in the family atmosphere of a small group.

We will sleep our first and last night in a campsite. The other nights are all in bivouac: in tents or in shelters that we will build.
All food except for the meal on day 1 (arrival) and day 6 (last night before departure) where you will have the choice to enjoy a restaurant is included in the price. We will eat a mixture of freeze-dried food and fresh produce.
Transport from Malmö to Immeln and back by canoe. You can therefore travel by train, bus or plane to Malmö.

As the sun rises in the morning sky and bathes the lake in its warm light, the calm of the water becomes apparent. The clear air is refreshing and the sound of the splash against the canoe gives an exhilarating experience of the great outdoors. With every stroke of the canoe's paddle you enter a vast and sprawling nature, with its lush greenery, picturesque banks and spectacular scenery.

This expedition is intended to be accessible to anyone who can hike short distances and wants to be in the wilderness. The aim is to learn how to manage risks in the wilderness. The expedition has a pedagogical goal, in order to teach you survival in an unusual setting with the help of canoes.
