Hébergement : camping | Repas inclus : soir
We will meet at 9am in Annecy, where we will have a welcome coffee
to get to know each other. Then it's time for the briefing on the itinerary we'll be following for the next 3 days!
First step: after collecting our bikes, Lucilien, your guide for the next 3 days, will show you how to attach the navigation equipment to the bike.
Then we head for the Fier for 40km of fun between forests, fields and small country roads.
Once we arrive in Fier, we'll have a picnic lunch before boarding our packrafts. Here, it will be the packraft that will carry your bike via a portage secured by straps. Once the bikes are strapped in, we can board the packrafts to sail to the village of Chanaz, where we'll spend the night in tents.
What to expect
Accommodation : bivouac | Meals included : morning, noon, evening
Start of the day with a visit to a village
known as the little Savoyard Venice, and has been awarded the "Petites cités de caractère" label.
We then set off again on our 2-wheelers for a few kilometres to the embarkation point. From there, we'll sail for 1 hour from the Savières canal to Lac de Bourget, nicknamed the largest natural lake in France.
We'll sail through this magnificent and still very wild setting to our bivouac spot:
We'll spend the 2nd night by the water on a bivouac spot in the middle of nowhere.
What to expect
Meals included: morning, noon
We leave today for our final leg of the expedition.
We start the day with around ten kilometres of packraft sailing, interspersed with a visit to the Royal Abbey of Hautecombe: a must-see in the region!
Ensuite, nous prendrons la pause pique-nique sur de petits criques inaccessibles à pied où nous serons seuls au monde.
After this moment of rejuvenation, we'll cycle along the lake for around fifteen kilometres towards the village of Aix-les-bains.
After a short visit of the old village, we will take the train back to Annecy.
What to expect
Level 2
Never done packraft before? No problem, this is an introductory level, so we'll be able to introduce you to the gems of packraft on this expedition!
For 3 days, you'll be accompanied by Lucilien, a certified packraft guide, who will show you the hidden corners of the Annecy region.
The first night you will sleep in a bivouac at the campsite in the authentic village of Chanaz. You will have access to the sanitary facilities and showers.
On the second night, you'll sleep by the water on a bivouac spot in the heart of nature.
All meals are included from Saturday evening to Monday lunchtime.
The meals are local and aim for zero waste.
Packraft material: We provide you with all the equipment you need for the packraft (packraft, paddles, seat and safety gear).
Bicycle equipment: For the bike section, you can either take your own bike or hire one from us, complete with all the necessary repair equipment.
Bivouac equipment: We provide the tents (for 2 or 3 people) and all the equipment you need to cook.
Each evening of the expedition, a shuttle will bring your personal belongings to the bivouac site: tent, mattress, sleeping bag, stove and other items.
The train ticket for the last day of the expedition between Aix-les-bains and Annecy is also included in the price of the expedition.
What is not included
You will receive a complete list of the personal equipment you need to bring with you after you register. Here is an overview:

The rest of the equipment is provided by us. Are you unsure about what to bring? Contact us!
Are you capable of cycling 30km for 3 days in a row? Are you not afraid of sailing a packraft on the water? Would you like to sleep in a bivouac in the middle of nowhere?
Then you have the level required for this expedition!
Yes, of course. If you prefer to sleep alone in your tent, you can take a single tent with you.
The first night, you'll sleep in a campsite in the village of Chanaz. You'll have access to showers and toilets. However, from day 2 to day 3 of the expedition, we will no longer have access to sanitary facilities, as we will be sleeping out in the open on Sunday night.
Your personal belongings will be transported on the 2 evenings by one of our partners directly to your accommodation. You will only have to carry the bare minimum on the bikes during this micro-adventure: water bottle, picnic, sun cream, cap, etc.
The weight of your backpack should therefore not be too heavy.
