Shipments to France
The Cevennes
DiscoveRent
6 days | 5 nights

Whether with friends, solo or with the family, DiscoveRent invites you to experience an adventure with a companion, admittedly a bit restless, your donkey. Hiking with a donkey in the Cévennes is a real invitation to wonder: between mountains, green nature and valleys where sparkling rivers mingle. You will be guided by Noé through a preserved and wild nature in which each step resounds with a perfect harmony between man, donkey and an unparalleled nature. We offer you a real human and wild adventure, which we describe to you day by day a little further down.

After a pleasant break under the cover of a beech forest, we reach the beautiful sheepfolds of Bonperrier before continuing our journey to the gîte Le Fenouillet. Once our four-legged companions are well taken care of, we enjoy a delicious dinner at the accommodation. A warm welcome is given to us in this small family structure.

Donkey trekking in the Cevennes

Our answers to your questions

Will the donkey carry our stuff?

Yes, the donkey can carry a load of up to 35kg. You will only have to carry your day bag with your jacket, water bottle and picnic. Please note that to load the donkey your bag should be a maximum of 60cm, allow a maximum of 10kg per person.

How many hours will we walk per day?

There is between 7km and 10km of walking per day. Depending on your pace, we will walk between 3 and 5 hours.

Is it necessary to have hiking experience to participate in a donkey trek?

No, this hike can be considered as a discovery of hiking in the wild. We offer you a wild immersion accessible to all.

Will a child ride the donkey?

You will have to count the weight of your child in the load and reduce the weight of your luggage. Do you have several children under 8 years old? An additional donkey for the children would be necessary.

How many donkeys will accompany our group?

A donkey can carry 35 kg of load, that is to say the luggage of 3 to 4 people in a gîte with meals.
