Whether with friends, solo or with the family, DiscoveRent invites you to experience an adventure with a companion, admittedly a bit restless, your donkey. Hiking with a donkey in the Cévennes is a real invitation to wonder: between mountains, green nature and valleys where sparkling rivers mingle. You will be guided by Noé through a preserved and wild nature in which each step resounds with a perfect harmony between man, donkey and an unparalleled nature. We offer you a real human and wild adventure, which we describe to you day by day a little further down.

After harnessing our donkeys,
We start our journey towards the Asclié pass (985 m) and its sheep bridge, a strategic passage for the flocks of sheep during the transhumance. We take the transhumance path that leads to Mount Aigoual, a trail frequented each year by nearly 10,000 animals in search of green high altitude pastures. After a pleasant break under the cover of a beech forest, we reach the beautiful sheepfolds of Bonperrier before continuing our journey to the gîte Le Fenouillet. Once our four-legged companions are well taken care of, we enjoy a delicious dinner at the accommodation. A warm welcome is given to us in this small family structure.

At daybreak, once our camp is tidied up and our donkeys are ready,
We follow the paved GR path to Notre-Dame-de-la-Rouvière, an isolated Catholic village in the heart of this traditionally Protestant region. We then continue our journey to the Valnierette, a charming little river where we enjoy a refreshing bath and a well-deserved break. Then, in the shade of the oak and chestnut trees, we easily reach our camp, ideally situated on the river bank.
