CANCELLATION | MODIFICATION | REFUND 💰
We offer Europ Assistance cancellation insurance for all our travels outside your legal country of residence. All you have to do is take out the cancellation insurance offered when you order online. It is imperative that you take out the cancellation insurance 30 days before your departure.
If you cancel your stay with cancellation insurance, you will get back the amount paid for activities, accommodation, transport, equipment and food. In case of cancellation WITHOUT cancellation insurance, the sums you have already paid will be retained by the Agency as cancellation fees. We remind you that, if you inform DiscoveRent within 7 days, you can transfer your contract to a transferee who fulfils the same conditions, including medical and physical conditions, as you do to carry out the trip or stay, as long as the contract has not come into effect.
Once tickets have been issued, any changes may result in penalties being charged depending on the conditions applied by the carrier.
Due to the nature of the service and the physical requirements, you may only change the identity of a participant if that participant meets all the physical and technical requirements as listed in the special conditions.
Only DISCOVERENT may validate this modification. If the above conditions are not met, DISCOVERENT shall not be able to accept the modification.
A postponement is possible and will be the preferred solution by DiscoveRent. We remind you that, if you inform us within 7 days, you can transfer your contract to a transferee who fulfils the same conditions including medical conditions and physical abilities as you do to carry out the trip or the stay as long as the contract has not produced its effects. In this case, DiscoveRent will charge the modification fees as imposed by its providers. The transferor and the transferee are jointly and severally responsible for the payment of the balance of the price as well as the fees, royalties and possible additional costs caused by this transfer.

Registration for expeditions abroad closes automatically 20 days before the expedition departure, so don't delay too long in registering.
Registrations for the one or two day micro-adventure close 6 days before departure. And yes, at DiscoveRent we are flexible 😇
If not expressly mentioned in the shipment, children are by default not admitted to our trips.
However, we do have family outings that are accessible from the age of 6.
Finally, some of the expeditions are accessible from the age of 16 with parental consent 🏃♀️
In case of cancellation of an expedition due to the health situation; closed borders and/or confinement, the trip is fully refunded. In case of cancellation due to illness, the above mentioned cancellation conditions apply. The fulfilment and costs resulting from police, customs and health formalities required for the booked trip, such as passport, national identity card, residence permit, parental authorisation, visa, medical certificate, vaccination booklet are the responsibility of the Client.
In the event that the Client is unable to travel due to non-compliance with administrative and health formalities, the price paid will not be reimbursed, nor will the Company be held liable.
When booking, you can choose your method of payment.
- With our flexible payment solution, you can opt for a deposit of at least 20% of the price of the shipment. The full amount will be deducted automatically before departure.
- Another practical option is to choose an instalment plan. With our instalment facility, you can pay a monthly amount until the full payment is made, giving you flexibility in managing your budget.
Once the checkout is complete, you will have no further action to take.
The realisation of the stays depends on the registration of a minimum number of participants to guarantee the departure.
In the event that the stay cannot take place because the minimum number of participants required is not reached, You will be informed at the latest :
20 days before departure for a stay of more than 6 days;
6 days before departure for a stay of 2 to 6 days;
In this case, we will return the advance payments and payments received.
Level 1: Family expeditions suitable for anyone wanting to learn about outdoor sports. The distances covered are short with little change in altitude. The nights will be spent mainly in gites, with the possibility of an exception in order to learn about bivouacs.
➡️ These expeditions are usually accessible for families with children aged 6 years or older.
➡️ You need to be able to travel distances of less than 10 km per day
Level 2: Expeditions suitable for anyone who wants to practice sports in the wilderness. There is always a way to avoid or bypass the difficulties. Nights can be spent in tents, lodges, huts or sailing boats.
➡️ These expeditions are usually accessible from the age of 14 with parental consent
➡️ Regular sports activity (min. 1x every 2 weeks)
Level 3: Sports expeditions in the wilderness adapted to any sportsman or woman who wants to discover or improve in an adventure sport. The sportsman accepts to be confronted with certain risks such as the distance from civilization or the discovery of hostile environments. However, no technical level is required. The nights may be less comfortable due to the characteristics of the destination.

➡️ Practice an endurance sport at least 1X per week
Level 4: Sports expeditions in totally wild places where there is little or no network. These expeditions are suitable for any sportsman or woman who wants to evolve in an adventure discipline. The adventurer accepts the risks of moving away from civilisation, or the discovery of hostile environments, as well as the discomfort that may be associated with it. The participant has certain technical knowledge related to the sport he/she is going to practice.

➡️ No fear of heights and/or seasickness
➡️ No chronic pain / Perfect health
BEFORE DEPARTURE 🏁
To prepare for an expedition, there is nothing like cardio once or twice a week. Train progressively week after week by running, cycling, climbing,... Be careful not to injure yourself! For specific training, contact us for more advice.
Once you have booked your expedition, you will receive an email with all the information you need to prepare and start your expedition. You will be added to a Whatsapp conversation with the other members of your expedition. You will be able to ask all your questions to your guide and/or DiscoveRent contact. Before your departure, we will organise an informative digital meeting in order to meet and answer your last questions.
Your departure is confirmed when it reaches the minimum number of participants required. You can see this information in the expedition form, in the departure dates insert. For each date, a progress bar indicates whether the departure is confirmed or the number of participants needed to confirm the departure (e.g. 2 to confirm).
In any case, once you have made your reservation, we will automatically notify you by email when your departure is confirmed.
We reserve the right to close an unconfirmed departure at any time but we undertake to give you confirmation/cancellation at least 10 days before the departure of your expedition for an expedition of more than 2 days and 3 days before your departure for an expedition of less than 2 days.
You will receive two emails after your registration:
- The first containing all the practical information
- The second one asks you to either send us your repatriation insurance for an expedition abroad, or to subscribe to it via DiscoveRent. Finally, we ask you to sign a disclaimer in case of dangerous and premeditated behaviour during the expedition.
We will send you two confirmation emails within four working days of your booking. Then you can contact us at any time before, during or after your expedition. In particular, you will be added to a Whatsapp group ten days before your expedition in order to facilitate communication between you, your guide, the other participants and DiscoveRent.
You will be in contact ten days before your departure with the other participants and the guide via a Whatsapp conversation. You will be able to ask all your questions, organise your carpool or simply share your photos, feelings or your good mood 🤪
Each expedition has its own specificities. You can consult the expedition page. In general, our expeditions include private guiding in small groups, activities, full board and accommodation for the duration of the stay.
Only not understood transport to the meeting point and cancellation and/or repatriation travel insurance.
If you want to put yourself on a waiting list for an expedition, simply go to the page for the expedition in question and fill in the "pre-registration" field. If you want to pre-register a group contact us mentioning the name of the expedition, the departure date and the number of people you would like to put on the waiting list. We might be able to arrange a private date for you and your group.
Normally it is difficult to exceed the maximum number of people on an expedition. However, you can always contact usYou never know 😋
INSURANCE AND LIABILITY 🤓
For our expeditions taking place outside your country of residence, we ask you to have a "Repatriation Assistance" insurance such as the travel insurance ofEurop-assistance. In particular, we offer the possibility of subscribing to it when booking an expedition.
DiscoveRent offers optional insurance such as holiday cancellation. If you cancel your stay, with the cancellation insurance, the activities and accommodation are fully refunded. Please note that the insurance premium is not refundable.
A repatriation certificate is a document that proves the coverage of your medical expenses and potential repatriation. This document should be valid for the duration of the expedition.
The certificate is normally delivered to you when you subscribe to your repatriation insurance (usually by email). If you do not have it or if you have lost it, it is always possible to request one from the travel insurance company.
When you sign up for one of our overseas expeditions, we ask for two documents by default:
- A certificate of your repatriation insurance
- The completed and signed liability waiver
What is a liability waiver and what is it for?
The disclaimer makes you responsible in case of accident or damage to the material caused by dangerous/risky or irresponsible behaviour on your part. In this case, we will appeal to your civil liability. In short, such a case could occur if you do not follow one of the indications of the professional guide who takes you 🥴

DURING SHIPPING 💥
We prefer small groups in order to create a family atmosphere and to minimize the impact of our expeditions on the ecosystems. Most of our expeditions are open to a maximum of 6 people.
A group can vary between a maximum of 6 and 12 people depending on the sport and the destination of the expedition.

If the weather is bad but does not represent a danger to the participants during the expedition, the activity is maintained. If the weather becomes a danger, the activity is cancelled and replaced by an alternative proposed by our professional guides.
If you have your own equipment for an expedition, contact us so that we can check your equipment. If it is up to standard, you can take it with you on the expedition. We will not be responsible for any theft, breakage, damage or loss of your equipment, you are entirely responsible for it. Finally, this will not produce any reduction on the standard price of the expedition 🛶 ⛏ 🏄
All our expeditions take place in Europe. At DiscoveRent we are fans of local tourism. That's why our trips are limited to the beauty of European nature. Trust me, there's plenty to do 🙌

RETURN FROM YOUR TRIP 📆
Once back, you will receive all the pictures of your expedition by email and whatsapp. A little summary message will be sent to you. Nostalgia will give way to a new start, we're sure of it 🥰

PAYMENT 💸
If you have a discount code, you can enter your discount code on the "checkout" page. You will arrive on this page after having selected the date of your expedition > selected your pack.
A receipt of payment was sent to you by email after your registration. If you need an invoice for a payment, please contact us directly at m.frere@discoverent.com

For full or partial payment in ANCV holiday vouchers, here are the steps to follow:
– book your expedition directly on our website using your bank card, to block your place(s)
– send us your holiday vouchers by registered mail to DiscoveRent at 61 Boulevard Saint Michel, 1200 Brussels, Belgium.
– send us an email to maxime@discoverent.com to let us know that the shipment is on its way.
- on receipt of the post and holiday vouchers, we will refund the amount received holiday vouchers directly to the payment method used at the time of booking.

At DiscoveRent we look for the right price for our guides. Their remuneration should reflect the risk and passion they put into their work. That's why we don't give discounts and are constantly looking for the right price.
Prices may vary between adults and children, depending on shipping. This information will then be mentioned directly on the shipping page.
