The stag's bellow is the call that the stag makes to draw attention to itself during the mating season. It's also known as the rutting season, which is why it's so important to respect their privacy and not rush them during this mating season.
The bellowing technique is therefore used by stags to impress females and to differentiate themselves from the other males present. And it works 😉
